Belfast Book Festival – Martin Waddell: Exhibition Launch & Readings

Join much-loved writer Martin Waddell for the launch of an Exhibition celebrating his picture books.

Best known for his picture books including Can’t You Sleep Little Bear, Owl Babies, Farmer Duck and The Pig in the Pond, a selection of original illustrations, posters and images spanning Martin’s career will be on display in The Crescent’s Cafe.

The Festival is honoured to be joined by Martin, who will treat us to a reading or two….

Martin Waddell has written many books for children of all ages. He may be known best for his picture books including Can’t You Sleep Little Bear, Owl Babies, Farmer Duck and The Pig In The Pond. He also writes under the pen name Catherine Sefton for older children, primarily ghost stories and mystery fiction and novels include In a Blue Velvet Dress and The Back House Ghosts.

For his lasting contribution as a children’s writer Martin received the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 2004.
